Not a Clinical Service
My Social Corner is educational and non-clinical, and this website is not designed or intended to receive Protected Health Information (PHI) and is not HIPAA-compliant. Children’s Privacy
My Social Corner is designed for children to use under the direction of a parent or legal guardian. The adult creates and manages the family account. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from a child under 13 without first providing the parent with notice and obtaining verifiable parental consent when required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).
We seek to collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide the child’s learning experience, such as an age or grade band, an optional display name or avatar, lesson completion, quiz responses, and activity progress. We do not knowingly sell children’s personal information, use it for behavioral advertising, or ask a child to provide more information than is reasonably necessary to participate.
A parent or guardian may ask to review or correct a child’s information, request its deletion, withdraw consent, or refuse further collection or use by contacting us at Admin@social-academics.com. If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information without the consent required by law, we will delete it. If you provide your phone number and opt in to text messages from us, you consent to receive SMS communications related to our Service, such as updates and notifications.
